(P217) – Experimental Test Pilot

A vacancy for an Experimental Test Pilot has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Seville. The successful applicant will join the Flight Test Department.

Task & Accountabilities:

1. Experimental Test Flight
2. Support Development, Certification, Qualification, Validation & Verification, acceptance, FLIGHT OPERATIONS, including preparation, execution, and reporting.
3. Support as Experimental Test Pilot in Test Center.
4. Execute Experimental Test Pilot activities in any Airbus or Customer facility all over the world.
5. Participate in A400 Test, Production and Deliveries and Training activities (in-flight and simulator).
6. Participate in Airbus Defence and Space Derivatives programs (A310, A330, A320, etc.).
7. Participate in M&L Test, Production and Deliveries and Training activities (in-flight and simulator).

Required Skills:

1. More than 2500 flight hours (required), with at least 1500 flight hours in combat aircraft.
2. CAT 1 Test Pilot rating – Recognised schools: Edwards TPS, USNTPS, EPNER and UK TPS.
3. Previous experience in Development (DT), Certification and Qualification (C&Q), Validation and Verification (V&V) activities as Experimental Test Pilot (5+ years).
4. Air to Air Refuelling (AAR) Experience as Tanker or/and Receiver.
5. Flight Test Instructor (FTI) qualification and experience (desirable).
6. Flight Test Operations management experience (5+ years).
7. JAR CPL/ATPL (A) with CLASS 1 MEDICAL and IR.
8. Any Valid Airbus TR (desirable).
9. EF-2000 Typhoon previous or current Qualification (desirable).
10. English advanced.
11. Spanish – intermediate level required.
