Key Accountabilities:
– Assist the Captain in conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
– Review flight plans, weather conditions, and fuel requirements.
– Monitor and operate aircraft systems, including navigation and communication equipment.
– Aid in the control and navigation of the aircraft during flight.
– Monitor engine performance and other systems to ensure optimal operation.
– Respond to any in-flight issues and support the Captain in handling emergencies.
– Maintain effective communication with air traffic control (ATC), ground crew, and cabin crew.
– Relay information between the Captain and other flight personnel.
– Provide passengers with information and updates as directed by the Captain.
– Adhere to all aviation regulations and company safety protocols.
– Participate in regular safety briefings and drills.
– Ensure compliance with international and local aviation laws and regulations.
– Work closely with the Captain to ensure a cohesive and efficient cockpit team.
– Support the Captain in making informed decisions based on flight conditions and operational requirements.
– Foster a positive and professional working environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field is preferred.
– Completion of advanced co-pilot training programs
– Minimum of 4 years of experience as a co-pilot or first officer.
– Proven track record of supporting safe and efficient flight operations.
– Strong piloting and navigation skills.
– Excellent knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures.
– Proficiency in using modern avionics and flight management systems.
– Effective communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to remain calm and assist in decision-making in high-pressure situations.
– Fluency in English and Arabic.:
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
– Ability to pass background checks and security screenings.
Certifications:
– Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia or an equivalent international authority.
– Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
