A UAV Test Pilot is a professional responsible for conducting flight tests of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to evaluate their performance, reliability, and safety. They ensure compliance with design specifications, test new systems, and provide critical feedback for improvements. This role requires expertise in UAV operations, troubleshooting, and adherence to aviation safety standards.

Responsibilities

– Perform Pre-flight checks thorough inspections of the UAV platform, sensors, payloads, and communication systems to ensure everything is functioning correctly and ready for flight.
– Collaborate with co-pilot and other team members to plan flight paths, define mission objectives, and ensure they comply with regulations and safety protocols and ensure smooth mission execution.
– Perform post-flight checks, download flight data, and contribute to after mission reports.
– Perform routine maintenance, report technical problems to respective teams and ensure the system’s functionality and safety.
– Remain informed about and comply with relevant regulations governing UAV operation in different regions and applications.
– Document technical write UPS, user manuals and maintenance procedures.
– PID tuning knowledge is mandatory.

Qualification

– Graduation in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical and Related studies
– Proficiency in operating flight control software and ground control stations (GCS).
– Extensive experience in piloting Fixed Wing UAVs.
– Drone handling experience in High Altitude.
– PID Tuning of UAV.
– Possesses exceptional hand-eye coordination, quick decision-making abilities, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
– Strong communication and teamwork ability.
– Being a trilingual along with Leadership quality is our expectation towards the individual.
– Analytical and problem-solving skills, Identify and resolves technical issues efficiently.
– Meticulous attention to detail.
