Role Summary

The Pilot Training Program Director is the sole subject matter expert in all phases of strategic planning and regulatory compliance for Flight Operations Training activities. This role defines the long-term strategy for all pilot training programs using considerable latitude and initiative for decision-making.

Key Duties

  1. Lead the planning process for Flight Operations Training, including project assessment and strategy development.
  2. Design and implement highly complex, innovative, long-term projects that will drive significant improvements for the pilot training programs.
  3. Develop long-term strategy for worldwide training operations leveraging understanding complex guidance from FAA.
  4. Support Boeing AQP department & Airbus N&O training department with regulatory guidance and oversight.
  5. Consult with the Managing Director and process owners to develop long-range strategies for key training initiatives.
  6. Initiate and conduct Safety Risk Analysis sessions to document planning and comparative risk evaluation.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with Alaska and Horizon training and operational division partners.
  8. Collaborate with financial, planning & analysis team to support divisional budgets and economic analysis.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  1. 10 years of experience in pilot training and program management.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  3. 1500 hours as Captain and Check Pilot in 121 operations.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  6. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  7. Demonstrated change management skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.

Salary Range

$147,400 – $228,400 / year
