Position: Drone Pilot

Summary: As a Drone Pilot, you will be responsible for safely operating and maneuvering drones for various commercial purposes in compliance with local regulations and company policies. You will play a crucial role in capturing aerial footage, conducting inspections, and supporting projects that require drone operations. Your ability to operate the drone effectively and responsibly will contribute to the success of our organization and ensure the safety of those around the drone’s operational area.

Responsibilities:
Drone Operation:Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the drone is in proper working condition.
Safely operate drones to perform tasks such as aerial photography, videography, surveying, mapping, and inspections.
Follow flight plans and instructions to achieve project objectives effectively.

Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to Singapore’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) regulations and guidelines for drone operations.
Maintain a thorough understanding of airspace restrictions, no-fly zones, and other safety-related regulations.
Implement safety protocols to mitigate risks during drone operations.

Data Collection and Analysis:Capture high-quality aerial imagery and data as per project requirements.
Assist in processing and analyzing the data collected through drone flights.
Ensure accurate and reliable data is obtained for use in project planning and decision-making.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform routine maintenance checks on the drone to keep it in optimal condition.
Identify and report technical issues or malfunctions to the relevant teams promptly.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and troubleshooting as needed.

Communication and Team Collaboration:Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project goals and deliverables.
Communicate effectively during drone operations to ensure seamless coordination and safety.

Documentation:Maintain comprehensive flight logs and records of each drone operation.
Document and report any incidents or near-miss situations, ensuring prompt action and improvement.

Requirements:
Certification: Possess a valid Unmanned Aircraft Operator Permit (UAOP) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

Experience: Prior experience in operating drones for commercial purposes is preferred. Familiarity with various drone models and payloads is advantageous.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of CAAS regulations and safety guidelines for drone operations. Knowledge of data processing and analysis from drone-captured information is a plus.

Skills:Exceptional piloting skills to maneuver drones accurately and safely.
Good problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unexpected challenges during flights.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Fitness: The role may require physical activities like carrying equipment and standing for extended periods during drone operations.

Responsible and Safety-Conscious: A strong sense of responsibility for safe flight operations and adhering to regulations at all times.
