Technical Co-Founder for AI-Driven Pharmacy Startup

Pharma Pilot is a start-up building AI pharmacy agents. Our core offering helps pharmacies automate 90% of their phone calls.

Role Overview

As the Technical Co-Founder, you will be shaping our product vision, tuning AI-driven solutions, and leading our technical development. You’re a hacker at heart who stands up for their ideas, or against my bad ideas 🙂 You’ll work closely with me, Sawyer the founder, and our SW contractor Activeo, to create conversational AI, industry-first integrations, and RAG-based medication recommendation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop AI agents for pharmacy customer service and sales support
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services (Connect, Lambda, Lex)
• Lead the integration of our platform with pharmacy management systems
• Develop and optimize conversational AI models for pharmacy-specific use cases
• Implement robust DevOps practices and ensure scalability of infrastructure
• Contribute to product strategy and business development initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, with a proven track record working with agile teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Proven AI development with an interest in conversational AI agents, chatbots and voice
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with NLP and LLMs
• Strategic thinking – not heads down developing
• Startup experience or impressive hackathon experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Implementation experience with OpenAI/Anthropic API, LangChain/LCEL, Autogen, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, etc.
• Leadership experience in a technical role 
• Experience building APIs
• Background in conversational AI or voice technologies
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the healthcare space or with healthcare IT systems
