We are seeking a skilled professional to focus on protein biochemistry and downstream processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of reagents and buffers for various purification steps, ensuring batch processing according to protocols.
• Monitoring and execution of downstream purification processes, including low-pressure chromatography and nanofiltration.
• Responsibilities include fumigation, pre- and post-plating, incubation, and electronic laboratory notebook (eLN) documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with quality systems, safety measures, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Protein concentration checks using solo VPE/UV spectrophotometry and eLN result reporting.
• Maintaining inventory, ensuring GDP, and reviewing batches/data.
• Responsible for sample segregation and transfer to respective teams.
• Ability to work in shifts A, B, and C.

Technical/Functional Skills

• Basic knowledge of protein biochemistry and downstream processing.
• Experience handling purification systems, such as AKTA Pilot, AKTA Avant/Pure, and TFF systems.
• Analytical instruments experience, including HPLC, Solo VPE, UV-Spectrophotometer.
• Ability to follow protocols for flawless execution of downstream batches.
• Instrument calibration/maintenance, interacting with maintenance and vendor teams.
• Data compilation and documentation skills with ability to maintain raw data.
• Troubleshooting process and analytical challenges.
• Well-versed in basic statistics and statistical software usage (JMP, Minitab).
• LIMS-eLN knowledge.

Educational/Industry Experience Required

• Minimum BTech/M.Sc./Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry with 3-6 years of industry experience.
