Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable UAV Compliance Officer to join our “Yali Aerospace“ team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing our flight operation compliance with aviation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices, thereby contributing to the safe and efficient operation of UAVs in various environments.

Responsibilities:

– Provide theoretical and practical training for small category, rotorcraft class, in line with DGCA regulations.
– Conduct hands-on flight training, ensuring students master pre-flight, flight, and post-flight procedures.
– Teach safety protocols, airspace regulations, and emergency response techniques.
– Facilitate simulator-based training for skill development in controlled environments.
– Assist in developing and refining training modules, instructional materials, and assessments.
– Evaluate trainee progress through tests and practical flying sessions, providing constructive feedback.
– Certify trainees upon meeting DGCA standards and participate in audits and certification processes.
– Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks on training equipment, ensuring maintenance and safety standards are met.
– Maintain detailed records of student progress, flight hours, and training activities per DGCA requirements.
– Report incidents following DGCA protocols and ensure corrective actions are taken.
– Stay updated on DGCA regulations, industry trends, and unmanned aviation technologies.
– Foster a positive learning environment and provide mentorship to aspiring remote pilots.
– Promote a safety-first culture and conduct risk assessments before training flights.

Qualifications

– DGCA certification as a Remote Pilot Instructor for Small Category, Rotorcraft Class.
– Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
– Minimum 1 year of experience in aviation regulatory compliance, preferably in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) industry.
– Proven experience in operating and training with small rotorcraft.
– Strong communication and teaching skills, adaptable to individual student needs.
– In-depth understanding of safety protocols and risk management in remote piloting.
– Willingness to continuously update instructional methods and stay informed on latest technologies and regulations.
