- The AW139 Maintenance Test Pilot plays a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of AW139 helicopters used in Search & Rescue Operations.
- This position involves performing maintenance test flights (MTFs) to validate the proper functioning of the aircraft after maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications.
- The MTP will collaborate closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation of discrepancies, corrective actions, and aircraft status.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections with a focus on identifying potential safety hazards.
- Participate in the evaluation and enhancement of maintenance and flight operations procedures.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in an aviation discipline is preferred.
- A total of 2,000 flight hours and 500 hours as pilot-in-command on Leonardo AW139 helicopters is required.
- A valid commercial pilot’s license or higher with an appropriate type rating for AW139 is required.
- Must have a current or ability to pass and maintain an FAA or EASA/GCCA equivalent Class II flight physical.
- Must be able to pass a hands-on flight evaluation.
- Minimum three years’ experience within the last five years piloting AW139 aircraft, including factory/OEM training in Leonardo AW139.
- A strong knowledge of production and quality control is preferred.
- A proven experience in maintenance test flights and troubleshooting is required.
