Marine/Harbour Pilot

We are seeking an experienced Marine Pilot with a strong background in navigating Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) through the UAE’s complex port systems. This role requires a deep understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and navigation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Pilot VLCCs through UAE harbors, ports, and waterways ensuring safe passage and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with vessel captains and crew to ensure smooth docking and undocking procedures.
• Monitor weather conditions, tides, and currents to optimize navigation routes and minimize risks.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and international safety standards.
• Liaise with port authorities, tug operators, and vessel crew to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Marine Pilot with extensive experience in navigating VLCCs.
• Valid UAE-issued Marine Pilot License.
• Strong knowledge of UAE port operations, including routes, channels, and navigational aids.
• Proficiency in modern navigation tools, including radar, GPS, and electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS).
• Able to work effectively in challenging weather and sea conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Maritime or Nautical Science.
• Previous experience working in the UAE or similar environments.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
