Remote (UK-based) with some travel requirednAbout Peripear:nPeripear is an innovative, non-invasive wearable medical device designed to reduce perineal injuries and pain during vaginal childbirth. Our mission is to revolutionize maternal healthcare by improving birth outcomes and reducing trauma. As we move towards clinical validation, we are seeking a dedicated professional to help establish NHS partnerships and facilitate pilot programs in maternity settings.nRole Overview:nWe are looking for an experienced healthcare professional—ideally with midwifery experience or strong knowledge of maternity services—to lead our engagement with the NHS. This role involves liaising with NHS hospitals, midwifery teams, and clinical research departments to facilitate the setup of clinical pilots for Peripear. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating NHS structures, building relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting the implementation of innovative medical solutions in clinical settings.nKey Responsibilities:nEstablish and maintain relationships with NHS hospitals, maternity wards, and midwifery teams.nIdentify and engage key stakeholders, including clinical leads, NHS research teams, and innovation managers.nFacilitate discussions and negotiations to set up clinical pilot programs for Peripear.nSupport the regulatory and ethical approval process for clinical trials and pilots.nWork closely with our research and product teams to ensure smooth pilot implementation and data collection.nPrepare, submit, and manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests with NHS bodies to gather relevant data for pilot planning and product improvement.nAdvocate for Peripear’s adoption by showcasing the clinical and economic benefits of reducing perineal trauma.nStay updated on NHS policies, maternity care guidelines, and funding opportunities relevant to pilot implementation.nStrong knowledge of NHS maternity services, midwifery practices, and clinical research pathways.nExperience working within or closely with the NHS, preferably in a midwifery, clinical research, or health innovation role.nUnderstanding of NHS clinical governance, ethics approval processes, and pilot program implementation.nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage clinicians, researchers, and administrators.nProactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.nRegistered Midwife (RM) qualification or relevant clinical background.nExperience in clinical research coordination, NHS innovation projects, or health technology implementation.nUnderstanding of reimbursement models and NHS procurement processes.nWhat We Offer:nCompetitive salary (dependent on experience).nFlexible working arrangements (remote with some travel).nThe opportunity to play a key role in a pioneering women’s health innovation.nA dynamic and supportive startup environment.nIf you’re passionate about improving maternal health and have the experience to help us bring Peripear into NHS maternity wards, we’d love to hear from you!nTo apply, please send your CV and a short cover letter to [email protected].
