About the Role

The role of a Drone pilot is central to the execution of the Inspection & survey services. Working in pairs or individually, in often challenging environments, the Pilot is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of field flight plans to provide reliable data to make safety critical decisions on maintenance of assets and progress of projects.
– You will be working on different types of projects including onshore and offshore inspection work within Qatar, but there is also the potentially for international travel.
– This role may also involve flying drones over construction sites to allow the accurate and regular tracking and monitoring of progress.
– Everyday you will be working outside, flying drones and collecting data. You will need to be able to work in the Qatar climate, follow procedures and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities
– Conduct drone operations in a controlled manner as Pilot in Command potentially across multiple drone platforms, systems and payloads
– Perform Pre/In flight procedures and checks while adhering to company Procedures
– Perform Post operations management, including data handover and flight documentation
– Log daily operations using in-house workpack management system
– Assist with job preparation such as creation of RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement), equipment management, organising travel & accommodation
– Adhere to company’s highest standards of health and safety

Who would be a good fit to our role
– Essential:

– Minimum academic qualification at Diploma level
– At least 125 hours drone flight time
– At least 50 hours flying drones for industrial inspection operations
– Flying drones offshore on inspection work scopes on at least 5 projects
– Must be willing to live and work in Qatar and potentially travel worldwide and work away from home
– Fluent written and spoken English
– Full and clean driving license
– Preferred:

– Knowledge of photography
– Knowledge of airspace management & current drone regulations
– Knowledge/experience of land surveying
– Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to operate effectively as part of a team
– Be able to demonstrate the ability to operate complex equipment in accordance with SOPs
– Able to work in safety-critical environment while under pressure
– Able to work independently with good timekeeping practice
– Good understanding of risk assessments and the significance of risk management
– Skilled in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office
