Pilot Hall Engineer – Product Assembly

Responsible for development and implementation of production processes, procedures and its equipment. Leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including new product introduction to improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs.

Duties:

  • Assembly Product Role: Lead a cross-functional team of engineers to investigate and resolve product and process deviations.
  • Audit Findings Analysis: Analyze and close out audit findings by implementing corrective actions to improve overall quality, DRR, and reduce reworks according to plant KPIs.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Oversee, set, and optimize fitment-related fixtures and gauges in assembly, including establishing checks and developing new gauges.
  • Product and Process Improvements: Propose and develop changes for series production to enhance build/assembly processes and reduce reworks.
  • Controlled Reworks Management: Develop, agree upon, and implement controlled reworks for out-of-specification parts/fitment problems to maintain stable production and quality until corrective actions are fully deployed.
  • Drive Issue Escalation: Escalate product and process issues to KPM and FAP Management meetings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Problem Presentation: Prepare and present detailed analyses of product and process problems, along with corrective action plans, in various management forums (e.g., DKA, FVA, FAP, TOP-Q, SFM, Projects, and Cubing meetings) to communicate progress towards quality and production targets.

Qualification requirements

  • National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics

Experience needed

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience within an automotive or engineering environment

Essentials

  • Knowledge and experience in Vehicle Build and Manufacturing Process
  • Analytical ability and creativity for problem solving
  • Must be computer literate (MS Office)
  • Good communication skills, team player, high engagement and self-driven ability
