We are looking for a Technician for Pilot Plant (Plumming, Electrical, Mechanical) to build up our pilot plant.

We are looking for a hands-on person with experience.

Tasks

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot process, mechanical, and electrical systems used in the production of alternative proteins.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and optimization of new equipment and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams to support pilot-scale trials and process improvements.
  • Monitor and document equipment performance, safety compliance, and maintenance activities.
  • Respond to operational challenges quickly, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Requirements

Must

  • Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering (or a related field).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, pilot plant, or industrial environment, preferably in the food, biotech, or chemical sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, valves, motors, PLCs, and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
  • Fluency in English & Spanish and/or Catalan

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in commissioning and scaling up pilot or production facilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in food or biotech manufacturing (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
