Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct operational test flights for fixed wing UAVs and RC aircraft under various conditions, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.
  2. Develop detailed test plans for new aircraft systems, modifications, and updates, recording and analyzing data to identify performance characteristics and potential issues.
  3. Work closely with engineering and development teams to plan test flights, define objectives, and establish safety protocols.
  4. Provide comprehensive feedback and technical reports on test results, including recommendations for enhancements or adjustments to improve UAV performance and reliability.
  5. Maintain a leading role in the continuous improvement of operational testing methodologies and best practices for UAV flight testing.
  6. Participate in the creation and review of operational manuals, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Assist in training and mentoring team members on test flight operations, promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the test flight team.

Requirements
  1. Minimum 6 years of experience in Radio Control piloting with significant experience conducting operational test flights of fixed wing Unmanned and RC aircraft.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in executing complex test flight operations and in-depth understanding of UAV testing protocols and data analysis.
  3. Experience with precision aerobatics and student pilot instruction, with a strong emphasis on safety and technical skill development.
  4. ICAO or equivalent UAV/RPAS License with a minimum level 4 language proficiency; CPL is preferred.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in an aviation/aeronautical related field from an ABET accredited university (preferred but not required).
