Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a pilot plant engineer to be responsible for managing and operating pilot plant equipment, including collecting and conducting laboratory sample tests, preparing chemicals, maintenance of water treatment and testing equipment, tracking operations data, reporting, following regulations, protecting safety of staff, visitors and the site, and coordinating regularly with the project team on the status of the testing.

Location: Gardiner, New York

Typical working hours during weekdays, periodically on-call for testing issues/emergencies on weekends/evenings.

Qualifications:

• Water Treatment Plant Operator or Engineer
• Experience with treatment plant or pilot plant operations preferred.
• Experience with water quality laboratory testing strongly preferred.

Following 1-year pilot testing period in Gardiner, NY, assistant engineering role anticipated to be available in one of Hazen and Sawyer’s office locations or on another pilot/operations site.

Start date is flexible, but must be available starting in Spring 2025.
